It's Easy to Enroll
Your Dog at Wags!

All dogs must be at least 15 weeks of age or older. All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

We do not accept American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers or similar breeds.

Can Come to Wags!

Owners must submit written proof of current DHLPP and Bordetella vaccinations. Rabies shots are required for puppies over 4 months of age. All dogs must be in good health and free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests. Owners must certify that their dog(s) have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days before admission to WAGS. Only Good Dogs Can
Come to Wags!

All dogs must be non-aggressive. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or other dogs. All dogs will be evaluated for their social behavior before admittance to WAGS. Please remember: your pet will be spending time with other pets and the safety and health of all animals is our main concern.

The Wags Assessment
and Screening Procedure

All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved enrollment on file. Additional requirements are in the Wags Information/Enrollment/Pet Care Agreement package which is available at Wags or here:

There will be a one-time, $10.00 non-refundable screening fee for each pet. The screening is required and takes up to an hour.

Here is How To Get Your Dog
Assessed at Wags:

1. Make a reservation to bring your dog(s)in for the assessment. This is important. Call us at (757)965-9052.
2. Bring a current copy of your dog's shot records from your vet, or we can have them fax the shot records to us.
3. Download the Wags Pet Care Agreement (here) or fill out the Wags Pet Care Agreement when you come in.
4. Come in! The screening/assessment can take up to an hour. There are several Starbucks, great restaurants and interesting shops nearby to help pass the time. Hey! We're in Ghent, the coolest part of Norfolk.
5. We suggest that the assessment take place between 10 AM and 4 PM. The mornings and afternoons can be hectic with dogs coming in and leaving. But this is only a suggestion.
6. You can arrange for the assessment to be included with a full or half day of daycare.
